Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

I have gotten a lot of requests for this I'm working on perfecting this recipe and I will post it shortly! It's warm, ooey, gooey, soft, chewy, chocolate bliss!

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg, room temperature
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Cream butter and sugars until light.
  2. Add egg and vanilla, mix until combined.
  3. Slowly add dry ingredients in small portions and mix well.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Spread dough evenly in cast iron skillet.
  6. Place some chocolate chips on top so they melt and you get that perfect look!
  7. Sprinkle with a little course sea salt!
  8. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden and middle is set.
Tips & Tricks
  • I used a 12 inch cast iron skillet, you can use smaller for a thicker cookie or use less dough.
  • Don't over cook, remember the cookie will continue to cook even when removed from oven!
  • Use your favorite chocolate chips whether its milk, dark, or white. Add your favorite toppings like M&Ms or marshmallows!
  • Cast iron gets super hot so be careful!
