Grilled Cilantro Lime Chicken Wings

It's usually a safe bet your food is going to be delicious whenever cilantro and lime are the featured ingredients! These chicken wings are a healthy option on a hot summer day and they are so easy to make. Once again, I wasn't so precise with the measurements in this recipe. I basically eyeballed it but here goes!

Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs. raw, fresh chicken wings
Juice from 2 limes
2 tbsp. cilantro (chopped)
4 cloves of garlic (chopped finely)
1 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. cumin
Zest from 2 limes
Salt to taste

Directions
  1. Marinate chicken wings in all the ingredients for at least 30 minutes, the longer the better.
  2. Heat grill to hot, add wings, and then cook on low heat.
  3. Cook for about 30 minutes.
  4. Serve with rice and salad for a light summer meal!
Tips & Tricks
  • You will need to cut the chicken wings into 3 parts. The wing, the drumlette, and the wing tip. You can grill the wing tip but most people are not used to eating that part so I would save it for a chicken stock.
  • You can marinate in a bowl or ziploc bag.
  • Marinate the chicken over night if you can.
  • As I always say, you can never have too much garlic!
  • If you have a sibling, use them to taste the chicken to see if it's done. (I use my sister.)
