Double Chocolate and Marshmallow Brownies

These are perfect when you are having a major chocolate craving! It is the same recipe as my blondies except I used chocolate cake mix. Use extra chocolate chips or marshmallows depending on your personal tastes! And like the blondies it will take you 30 minutes start to finish!

1 box chocolate cake mix
2 eggs
1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup mini marshmallows

  1. Mix the cake mix, 2 eggs, and melted butter (room temperature) well.
  2. Add in the the chocolate chips and marshmallows and combine well.
  3. Pour into baking dish and spread evenly.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes. No more than 25 minutes.
  5. Let cool, cut, and store in airtight container if any remain!
Tips & Tricks
  • The mixture will be thick. This is correct! Just spread in baking pan as evenly as possible. When it's in the oven, the butter will melt and fill all the corners and the brownie will rise!
  • Experiment with different box mixes until you find your favorite!
  • I only had giant smore marshmallows so I just chopped them up.
  • I used a dark, metal square pan but you can use whatever shape/material pan you have.
  • No need to grease the baking pan, there is enough butter in there!
